The NBOA Long-Range Financial Model for Independent Schools is an easy-to-use, customizable ten-year budget model, developed in a sophisticated Excel workbook. The model was updated and re-released in 2020 to support both day and boarding schools. While the tool itself is straightforward and accessible, sometimes finding the time to get started is not, and you need some momentum and support to get going.
Join us for a three-hour Zoom (live) workshop on the tool, in which you will:
- Receive instructions on loading the model and developing the necessary assumptions to use the tool effectively.
- Learn about the reporting and graphing tools that can be used in presentations for the head of school, leadership team, finance committee and board of trustees.
- Carve out time to work on loading data into your own copy of the model and developing the assumptions while having access to the instructor(s) who can answer questions.
Recommended Audience: Business officers, Controllers other business/accounting staff
Learning Objective: Participants will assemble and utilize the appropriate baseline data to load and formulate the assumptions needed to use the NBOA Long-Range Financial Model for Independent Schools.
