With support from the NBOA Board of Directors, and in agreement with our partners from Vanderbilt University, NBOA has made the decision to deliver this program 100% virtually during the 2020-21 academic year. Given the uncertainty regarding the COVID-19 environment and potential travel restrictions in the year ahead, we felt this was the prudent course of action for the health and safety of participants and staff.
Thankfully, the scope, sequence and objectives of the program will be delivered unaltered or uninterrupted as participants and mentors will be learning and networking from the safety and comfort of their own homes or offices. In addition to Zoom meetings from August through March, we will be utilizing a learning management system to further connect and advance the cohort, and experienced business officers with a track record of professional success will serve as mentors to program participants. The one-on-one and small group mentoring components will continue to add value and personalization to the professional development experience. The monthly cohort conversations will each focus on a key leadership skill, and many will be led by faculty from Vanderbilt University or a professional facilitator.
All program participants will still receive a complimentary registration to NBOA’s 2021 Annual Meeting, currently scheduled to be held live in New York City. Should circumstances require it, the program will be delivered virtually, and we are committing to your registration either way.
Throughout the program, participants will develop a clear understanding of their personal leadership attributes as well as the leadership role required to sustain their schools' success today and in the future.
