The NBOA Professional Achievement Award recognizes the invaluable contributions made by independent school business, finance and operations staff who are not business officers.
These staff members distinguish themselves every day and make exceptional contributions to their schools and the independent school community. The award will be given to a member of the business and operations staff who has made significant and lasting contributions to his or her school’s operations or financial health. The award provides a unique opportunity for business officers and other senior administrators to recognize the work of these highly valued colleagues.
This award recognizes professionals who generally fall under the supervision of the business officer. Eligible individuals include but are not limited to controllers, human resource professionals, facilities directors, IT directors and other members of the business office staff. Recipients’ accomplishments will exemplify high quality performance and exceptional work ethic, and demonstrate the highest standards of management, knowledge and business acumen. Recipients must be affiliated with an NBOA member school.
There is no limit on the Professional Achievement Award; as many are given as there are deserving nominees.
Nominations for the award will open in late-August through September of each year.
The award committee will select award recipients during October. NBOA will notify the nominators in the fall, and the award will be presented at the school. Award recipients will be announced in Net Assets magazine and acknowledged at the following NBOA Annual Meeting.
NBOA applauds the 2020 recipients for their extraordinary contributions to their school communities.
